Jim was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Franklin and Marshall College on a basketball scholarship. In 1991, Jim graduated from F & M on the Dean’s List with a B.A. in Business Management. Jim’s professional credentials include the Series 7 General Securities Representative registration, as well as a Series 66 Investment Advisor Representative . As a young man, Jim learned his core values of hard work and integrity from his parents, Bill and Carol. Bill worked as a Philadelphia Firefighter for over 30 years before retiring, and Carol was an administrative assistant in the lumber industry. When it comes to investments, Jim’s philosophy has three main principles:
- Asset allocation is the primary factor in determining long term success.
- Speculating on individual stocks or a few funds will not maximize investment performance.
- Tax-managed strategies reduce current taxes owed, thereby increasing after-tax returns.
Jim’s goal is to provide his clients with outstanding service. He integrates Bridgespan’s exceptional capabilities in a way that makes sense for each client and continually evolves those services to meet clients’ future needs. It is this personalized service combined with his core values and investment principles that allow Jim to form long-lasting relationships with his clients.
